NFL Best Feeling Fanbases After Week 9

Determining who are the best feeling fanbases in the NFL every week, is determined on a few things. How well they are set up for a playoff run, how well the team has been playing lately, and if they had an especially fun game like a blowout win or a comeback win. A surprising win can make a worse team feel better than the good team sneaking by an easy opponent.

Honorable Mentions

Vikings 20-17 win over Commanders. Their sixth single digit win in a row, but at the end of the day a win is a win. They also just traded for TJ Hockenson and at 7-1 are only one game back for the one seed. Plus they have the division just about wrapped up with the Packers refusing to add a receiver and falling to the Lions. Vikings win again and their fan base has to feel great.

Patriots 26-3 win over Colts. The Patriots are in last place in the hardest division in football. To keep up and have a chance at the playoffs, this was a must win game. Well, consider the job done, the Patriots destroyed the Colts from start to finish. Nothing feels better than your team getting a blowout and doing it in a must win game, Patriots fans are feeling pretty good this week.

Ravens 27-13 win over Saints. The Ravens have won three games in a row and are only one loss back for first place in the AFC. Baltimore is also entering what should be a winnable stretch, they play the Panthers, Jaguars, Broncos, and Steelers over the next four weeks. With the team getting hot, Ravens fans should be salivating about the team’s chances. Plus Ja’mar Chase getting hurt is a big blow for their biggest rival for the divisional crown.

Chiefs 20-17 win over Titans. Another comeback win for the Chiefs, could be looked at disappointedly but the Titans are a good team and winning is the most important thing. They still have Patrick Mahomes, and they just traded for another weapon in Kadarius Toney. The Chiefs are looking really well set up for the playoffs, plus, the Bills just lost to the Jets, making the Chiefs tied with them for the one seed. With one of the most loaded rosters, a MVP candidate, a comeback in over a good team, and tied for the best record in the AFC. They could easily make this list but just missed out, fans are still feeling amazing though.

#3 Eagles

29-17 win over the Texans. The Eagles picked up the win to move to 8-0 for the first time in franchise history. At the halfway mark for the league, they are the last undefeated team, are the 2nd highest scoring team, and let up the fourth fewest points per game. You can say that the team played an uncomfortably close game against the Texans, even being tied at halftime. While that is true, the Eagles did pull away to handly win in the second half, plus there is always the hope that Jordan Davis will come back in three weeks to shore up the Eagles biggest weakness, their run defense. Meanwhile, Jalen Hurts continues to play like a fringe MVP candidate, on the year he has the second best passer rating and he hasn’t thrown an interception in four weeks. Eagles fans have to have to feel great about where the team is, how the team’s been performing, and its postseason odds. Definitely, one of the best feeling fan bases right now.

#2 Seahawks

31-21 win over the Cardinals. The Seahawks keep winning, and after every win they establish themselves more and more as playoffs and potentially Super Bowl contenders. Raise your hand if you thought they would be 6-3 and first place in the NFC West, don’t feel bad literally no one has their hands up. The Seahawks right now are on a Cinderella run that has seen the team win four straight games, all by double digit points. A defense that was letting up 30.8 points per game over the first 5 weeks is suddenly only averaging 16.5 points over the last 4 weeks. On top of that, Geno Smith is continuing to play like a top 10 quarterback in the league. Before the year started, everyone was penciling the Seahawks in as one of the worst teams in the league and they were probably going to draft CJ Stroud or Bryce Young, the top 2 quarterback prospects for 2023. Now Seattle is well on their way to not just make the playoffs, but potentially make noise in the playoffs, and look like they might have potentially found their quarterback of the future already! Seahawks fans have to be absolutely psyched about where the team is, and the cherry on top is the Broncos look bad and they own the Broncos 1st and 2nd round picks next year.

#1 Jets

20-17 win over the Bills. Entering the week, over the last three games, the Jets had beaten the Broncos without Russell Wilson, the Packers, which is aging as an easy win, and had a bad loss to the Patriots. So while they were sitting at 5-3, a pleasant surprise and much better than anyone thought they’d be at this point, there were still reservations on if this was a true playoff caliber team. Not anymore, after beating Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills, who many people considered the best team in the NFL, the Jets established themselves as real playoff contenders. The defense, lately, has really taken off. After averaging letting up 25.25 points per game over the first four games of the season, the defense has drastically improved, only letting up 15 points per game over the last five outings. Whenever a team is doing better than expected, the fanbase has to feel really good. Entering the game, the Jets were doing just that, now they pulled off a big upset win and are doing a lot better than expected. In other words, the Jets are playing on house money and they keep winning. Jets fans should not only be excited about the team’s future but also about this year, they are that good! Considering the Jets were expecting 3-5 wins for the year, sitting at six wins after nine weeks, Jets fans are the best feeling fanbase right now!
