Determining who are the best feeling fanbases in the NFL every week, is determined on a few things. How well they are set up for a playoff run, how well the team has been playing lately, and if they had an especially fun game like a blowout win or a comeback win. A surprising win can make a worse team feel better than the good team sneaking by an easy opponent.
Honorable mentions:
Bills: Bye week. The Bills are one of the hottest teams in the NFL, coupled with having one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL. Their fans are surely expecting a Super Bowl run. Coming off a bye, their fans feel very good but it doesn’t beat out the feeling a few teams who had huge wins have.
Eagles: Bye week. Similarly, the undefeated Eagles and their supporters have to love where they are at. But considering they didn’t play last week, teams coming off big wins get the benefit of what have you done recently.
Giants: Beat the Jaguars 23-17. The Giants win again! You could argue, their record coming off a win should get them in the top 3. But they were heavily favored and had to have another comeback win. Don’t get me wrong, they should still feel great, but a team that pulled off a dominant upset win gets the nod over the Giants who barely beat a team they should have handled.
#3 Seahawks
Beat the Chargers 37-23. This was a huge win for the Seahawks in multiple ways. First, it establishes Seattle as a real contender for the playoffs. Even though they started 3-3, their wins didn’t look too impressive over the Broncos, Lions and Cardinals and their losses were to bad opponents: Saints and Falcons. And their loss to a good opponent, the 49ers, was a blowout. While they were a fun story, most people thought they were a flash in the pan, to soon drop back to one of the worst in the league. After this win over a quality Chargers team to move to 4-3, Seattle has won two in a row and now are considered serious contenders to make the playoffs. As an added bonus, the 49ers fell to 3-4, leaving the Seahawks solely in first place in the division. Things are looking shockingly good for the Seahawks.
#2 Bengals
Beat the Falcons 35-17. The Bengals defense has been great all year, only twice letting up over 20 points and never letting up more than 27 points in a game. But surprisingly, the offense has been letting the team down. Not so recently, the last 2 weeks the Bengals have scored 30 and 35 points. The Joe Borrow, Jamar Chase combo has been on fire. Borrow has 826 total yards and 8 touchdowns and Chase has 262 yards and 4 touchdowns. With 2 straight weeks of their offense clicking, there is good reason to believe the offense is back to their peak form. Combining that offense with their very good defense, Bengals fans are back to dreaming about Super Bowls. And of course nothing feels better than blowing out an opponent.
#1 Chiefs
Beat the 49ers 44-23. Chiefs fans are on top of the world right now. Even though they only have one win in a row, they just blew the brakes off the 49ers. They have one of the best two quarterbacks in the league, and the most powerful offense in the NFL (number 1 in points per game). Chiefs fans should certainly feel like if the Chiefs played their game, no one in the NFL is going to beat them. When you have the MVP frontrunner, on a loaded team, who just blew out a different Super Bowl contender, you’re going to be feeling extremely good. Chiefs fans take the number one spot this week.
